Technology Safety Summit

Your ticket provides access to a full two-day conference program of presentations, panel discussions and practical demonstrations covering a wide range of topics, including surveillance, artificial intelligence, online dating, children/young people and domestic and family violence, data management and more.


You will join with:

to explore the evolving nature of technology-facilitated abuse and work being undertaken to prevent and address abuse, including making technology safer by design, developing innovative technological solutions and reducing the impact of abuse by supporting survivors.

The ticket price covers access to all plenary sessions and your choice* of concurrent sessions across both days. The event is fully catered.

Please note that sessions will not be recorded. Subject to speaker approval, parts of presentations may be available to ticket holders via this website following the event.

Cancellation of registration deadline: 7 September 2026, 5pm (AEST)

Cancellations must be notified in writing (email is sufficient) to the Tech Summit events coordinator ([email protected]).
Cancellations made by 7 September 2026 will result in a full refund, less AUD100 to cover administration costs.
Alternatively, your registration may be transferred to another person without incurring any cost penalty. The tech Summit events coordinator must be advised in writing of any alterations or transfers of registrations.
After 7 September 2026, cancelled registrations will only be refunded in exceptional circumstances, as assessed by the Hosts on a case-by-case basis.

Wesnet may consider refunds beyond this date for international delegates whose Visa is rejected. International delegates are urged to apply early for a visa as the approval process can take some weeks. Refunds are not granted for visas that are not granted due to late application by the delegate.

Payment
Payment of any applicable attendance fees at the time of registration via online credit card. Payment by invoice may be requested by contacting the Events Coordinator.

Tech Summit postponement
In the event that the Tech Summit is postponed, all registrations will automatically be transferred to the new dates. If you are unable to attend on the new dates, you may contact the Tech Summit events coordinator to request a transfer of your registration to a colleague at no cost, or request a cancellation and refund, which will incur an AUD100 administration fee up until the registration cancellation deadline.
NOTE: Wesnet is not responsible for reimbursement of any pre-paid flight, accommodation or travel costs incurred (including flights and VISA applications).

Tech Summit cancellation
In the event the Tech Summit is cancelled, all registrations will be cancelled, and amounts refunded in full.

Photography policy
You acknowledge and agree that the Hosts and the Tech Summit Organisers will be photographing and filming at the Tech Summit and associated events for the purpose of reporting on the Tech Summit and for use in future promotional material; and by registering to attend, you give your consent to be photographed and filmed.
NOTE: No attendee has the right to film/record or photograph this event and its participants without consent from the Tech Summit Organisers and fellow delegates.
NOTE: No unauthorised Media attendance will be accepted at this summit.

Disclaimer
All best endeavours will be made to present the program as published on the Tech Summit website. The Hosts and the Tech Summit Organisers reserve the right to alter, without prior notice, any of the arrangements, timetables, plans, or other items relating to the Tech Summit, for any cause beyond its reasonable control. The Hosts and the Tech Summit Organisers are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such alteration.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Hosts and the Tech Summit Organisers do not accept responsibility for the loss of monies caused by delays. Participants are advised to take out personal travel insurance and to extend their policy to cover personal possessions. The Hosts and the Tech Summit Organisers do not cover individuals against cancellations of bookings or theft or damage to belongings. 

Code of conduct
The Hosts and the Tech Summit Organisers reserve the right to remove from the Tech Summit at any time any attendee deemed to be causing, or potentially causing, a disturbance or exhibiting disruptive or inappropriate behaviour. Such removal does not constitute a right to refund of any fees paid. Please view the Code of Conduct (below) which all attendees are expected to comply with.

Code of Conduct

Introduction
The Wesnet 7th Technology Safety Summit (TSAU26) is dedicated to providing a harassment-free, safe, and fulfilling Summit experience for everyone. This is underpinned by the Guiding Principles and Core Values of Wesnet (The Women’s Services Network) Inc.

Commitment to safety
The Hosts and the Tech Summit Organisers of TSAU26 are committed to providing a Summit that is welcoming and safe for all Participants (i.e. attendees, speakers, guests, sponsors, suppliers and volunteers), is free from unlawful discrimination and harassment, and where all Participants are treated with dignity and respect.
Harassment is unlawful under both federal and all Australian state anti-discrimination laws, and as such, people suspected of such misconduct may be reported to authorities.

Code of conduct
Adherence to this Code of conduct is a requirement for all TSAU26 Participants, and covers all aspects of this Summit, including Summit sessions and breaks, all social events and all communication, including that via email or social media (including but not limited to Facebook and X) associated with the Summit. Unacceptable behaviour includes, but is not limited to:
- Harassment, including behaviour targeting an individual or group’s gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, political preference, religion, age, national origin, gender identity or expression, or physical appearance.
- Inappropriate and/or unwanted physical contact.
- Unwelcome sexual attention, which can include inappropriate questions of a sexual nature, asking for sexual favours or repeatedly asking for dates or contact information.
- Stalking or deliberate intimidation.
- Unwanted photography or recording (if you are asked to stop photographing or recording someone, please do so; if someone indicates that they do not want to be photographed or recorded, do not record or photograph them).
- Discriminatory or sexual images in public spaces.
- Sustained or wilful disruption of talks or other events.
- Deliberate action to disrupt the Conference.


Consequences of violations
Tech Summit Participants who violate these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the Summit without a refund, at the discretion of the Hosts and the Tech Summit Organisers.
The Hosts and the Tech Summit Organisers will enforce this code throughout the Summit. We expect cooperation from all Participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

Reporting and support
Any Participant asked to stop any harassing behaviour is expected to comply with any directives issued by the Hosts and/or the Tech summit Organisers immediately.
If a Participant engages in harassing behaviour, the Hosts and the Tech Summit Organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the Summit with no refund.
