WESNET Fundraiser & Communications Coordinator

WESNET is seeking an experienced communications, media, marketing or fundraising specialist to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing WESNET’s relationship with our highly-valued supporters and donors, across all our communications channels. The primary aim of the role is to develop a more integrated fundraising and communications platform to increase brand recognition, drive engagement and increase the level of financial support to WESNET. Your priority will be fundraising, but you will also play a coordinating role across all communications, in collaboration with the CEO, to ensure that all our communications are well-aligned and support our organisational goals.
The successful applicant will have a proven record and at least three years experience in successful not-for-profit fundraising and a passion for eliminating violence against women. The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as communications, marketing, digital media or fundraising or equivalent combinations of relevant experience and education/training. Excellent writing and communication skills and a flexible approach including the capacity to think and act strategically, use judgement and manage in a dynamic environment are also essential.

AWAVA Policy Officer (backfill) Australian Women Against Violence Alliance

Women's Services Network (WESNET) is seeking a skilled and motivated person to fill a temporary (backfill) position as Australian Women Against Violence Alliance’s Policy Officer. AWAVA, one of the National Women’s Alliances, is a program of WESNET, which acts as AWAVA’s auspicing body. This is a back-fill position available until 20th of August 2021 with the possibility of extension depending on funding and staffing arrangements. Based in Canberra, the role involves policy and submission writing and analysis, and development of resources and policy documents to support AWAVA’s Advisory Group and broader membership.
