Administration Assistant (Parental Leave Position)

WESNET is seeking an Administration Assistant to fill a key role in our Safety Net Australia while one of our team members is on parental leave.  

In this role you will provide administration and support to the Safety Net Australia team particularly around supporting the Safe Connections program which provides smartphones and technology safety training to a network of frontline domestic and family violence services across Australia. You will be part of a small and dynamic team in our Bendigo headquarters along with other team members, some of whom work remotely.   

The successful candidate will have strong administrative and organisational skills and be able to work as our telephone reception as well as an integral part of a team. As we work with agencies supporting, as well as survivors experiencing domestic and family violence, a high degree of judgement, confidentiality and resilience will be necessary attributes. The work is interesting and varied but will require skills to be able to manage multiple tasks, time and ability to meet deadlines.

WESNET Policy and Projects Officer

WESNET is seeking a Policy and Projects Officer to join our team. In this role, you will assist the CEO with preparing a wide range of policy position papers, submissions and other materials in relation to WESNET’s work as the national peak body for specialist women’s services and our leading work on the intersection between violence against women and technology.  

The successful applicant will be an experienced policy practitioner and will provide support to the CEO WESNET to deliver the aims and objectives of WESNET including in relation to the Safety Net Service which examines the intersection between violence against women and technology. It is expected the position will work over broad policy issues relating to violence against women as well as more specific policy and project work in relation to the intersection between technology and violence against women with a wide variety of partner organisations.

WESNET Fundraiser & Communications Coordinator

WESNET is seeking an experienced communications, media, marketing or fundraising specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing WESNET?s relationship with our highly- valued supporters and donors, across all our communications channels. The primary aim of the role is to develop a more integrated fundraising and communications platform to increase brand recognition, drive engagement and increase the level of financial support to WESNET. Your priority will be fundraising, but you will also play a coordinating role across all communications, in collaboration with the CEO, to ensure that all our communications are well-aligned and support our organisational goals.

The successful applicant will have a proven record and at least three years experience in successful not-for-profit fundraising and a passion for eliminating violence against women. The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as communications, marketing, digital media or fundraising or equivalent combinations of relevant experience and education/training. Excellent writing and communication skills and a flexible approach including the capacity to think and act strategically, use judgement and manage in a dynamic environment are also essential.
