Bequests and Gifts

Leaving a gift in your Will or as a Bequest

Giving a charitable gift in your name or in honour of a loved one can mean the world of difference as we work towards a future free from domestic and family violence.

How your gift or bequest will make a difference

Wesnet accepts gifts and bequests on behalf of WESNET (Women's Services Network) and the Australian Women Against Violence Alliance.

WESNET is a Public Benevolent Institution and has deductible gift recipient status. This means gifts over $2 are tax deductible. To make a gift or a donation please visit our donation page.

How to leave a bequest in your Will

Leaving a bequest to Wesnet is straightforward.

If you don't have a will and wish to create one, it's a good idea to get professional advice. If you don't have a solicitor you can contact the Public Trustee in your state or territory.

If you already have a will, then all you need to do is add a codicil - a short legal amendment to your existing will.

The details about our organisation you need to provide your solicitor are  as follows:

Name of organisation : Wesnet (the Women's Services Network) Inc
ABN: 16 068 548 631
ACN:
ACT A 02400
ARBN: Australian Registered Body Number 616 222 041
Address: GPO Box 1579 CANBERRA CITY 2601
website: www.wesnet.org.au

The suggested wording to leave a bequest to WESNET is as follows:

I bequeath [the whole/a percentage/something specific/residue] of my estate to WESNET (Women’s Services Network) of (GPO Box 1579 CANBERRA CITY 2601) Charity ABN: (16 068 548 631) for purposes that it shall determine, and this bequest will be free from all duties. The receipt of this bequest by any authorised officer of WESNET Inc shall form valid discharge to my executor

Giving a gift or leaving a bequest will support the work of Wesnet and the women and children we support.

Thank you.
